The Process
Our Furniture, sculpture and architectural accents are made of steel. Different types of steel are used depending upon the application and desired finish. Ranging from stainless steel, mild steel and Cor-ten steel, these metals allow for extreme variations in surface finish.
Cut and Grind
Forms are cut from the steel and then ground and polished with various tools and abrasives to create a textured background which reflects light in different patterns.
Coloration
The patina process is one in which various chemicals and acids are applied to the steel to create rich colors and textures. The colors achieved depend upon the various types of steel used.
Final Finish
The piece now finished is then coated with a clear powder coating that is baked on for a long lasting durable finish for your functional art piece.
